Funding Vertical Terms of Use

Welcome to Crowdzu’s ("Website") Funding Vertical where Campaign Owners create and manage campaigns to fund their projects by offering rewards to raise money from Supporters. By creating or supporting a fundraising campaign, you agree to be bound by our Terms of Use and the following additional terms. Together, these Agreements set forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of this Funding Vertical.

Campaign Owners, Supporters and other visitors to and users of the Service (collectively, "Users") may have the ability to contribute, add, create, upload, submit, distribute, facilitate the distribution of, collect, post, or otherwise make accessible ("Submit") Content. "User Submissions" means any Content Submitted by Users. By using the Funding Vertical in any manner, including, but not limited to, visiting or browsing the Website or contributing funds, information, or other materials or services to the Funding Vertical, you agree to be bound by these Agreements.

Crowdzu’s Funding Vertical

All crowdfunding campaign payouts are made through Stripe Connect and all Campaign Owners have to be based in one of the countries currently supported by Stripe. The list of supported countries can be found in our Crowdfunding FAQs.

Supporters agree to provide their payment information using a credit, debit or charge card at the time they pledge to a campaign. The payment will only be collected at or after the campaign deadline and only if the minimum fundraising threshold, set by the Campaign Owner, has been raised. The amount Supporters pledge is the amount they will be charged.

Supporters consent to Crowdzu and its payments partners authorizing or reserving a charge on their payment card or other payment method for any amount up to the full pledge at any time between the pledge and collection of the funds.

Supporters agree to have sufficient funds or credit available at the campaign deadline to ensure that the pledge will be collectible.

Supporters may increase, decrease, or cancel their pledge at any time during the fundraising campaign, except that they may not cancel or reduce their pledge if the campaign is in its final 24 hours and the cancellation or reduction would drop the campaign below its goal.

The Estimated Delivery Date listed on each reward is not a promise to fulfill by that date, but is merely an estimate of when the Campaign Owner hopes to fulfill by.

Campaign Owners agree to make a good faith attempt to fulfill each reward by its Estimated Delivery Date.

For all campaigns, Crowdzu gives to the Campaign Owners each Supporter’s name and pledge amount. For successful campaigns, when rewards have to shipped, Crowdzu additionally provides the Supporter's mailing address.

For some rewards, the Campaign Owners may need further information from Supporters to enable them to deliver the rewards. The Campaign Owners shall request this information at the end of the campaign if the minimum fundraising threshold is met. To receive the reward, Supporters agree to provide the requested information to the Campaign Owners.

Crowdzu does not offer refunds. A Campaign Owner is not required to grant a Supporter’s request for a refund unless the Campaign Owner is unable or unwilling to fulfill the reward.

Campaign Owners are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Supporter whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill.

Campaign Owners may cancel or refund a Supporter’s pledge at any time and for any reason, and if they do so, are not required to fulfill the reward.

Campaign Owners should not take any action in reliance on having the money pledged until they have the ability to withdraw and spend the money.

Because of occasional failures of payments from Supporters, Crowdzu cannot guarantee the full receipt of the amount pledged.

Crowdzu and its payments partners will remove their fees before transmitting proceeds of a campaign. Payments partner fees may vary depending on geographic region and other factors.

Crowdzu reserves the right to cancel a pledge at any time and for any reason.

Crowdzu reserves the right to reject, cancel, interrupt, remove, or suspend a campaign at any time and for any reason. Crowdzu is not liable for any damages as a result of any of those actions. Crowdzu’s policy is not to comment on the reasons for any of those actions.

Crowdzu is not liable for any damages or loss incurred, related to rewards or any other use of the Service. All dealings are solely between Users of the Service. Crowdzu is under no obligation to become involved in disputes between any Users, or between Users and any third party. This includes, but is not limited to, delivery of goods and services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties, or representations associated with campaigns on the Website. Crowdzu does not oversee the performance or punctuality of projects. The Company does not endorse any User Submissions. You release Crowdzu, its officers, employees, agents, partners, and successors in rights from claims, damages, and demands of every kind, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and the Service.

Campaign Owner shall bear full responsibility for all applicable taxes due from funds paid out from a successful campaign, and for compliance with all applicable labor and employment requirements with respect to your self-employment, sole proprietorship or other form of business organization, and with respect to your employees and contractors, including state worker's compensation insurance coverage requirements and any U.S. immigration visa requirements. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Crowdzu harmless from any liability for, or assessment of, any claims or penalties with respect to such withholding taxes, labor or employment requirements, including any liability for, or assessment of, withholding taxes imposed on Crowdzu by the relevant taxing authorities with respect to any funds disbursed to you.
