9/11 Tiles for America

Hi, my name is Dusty. I earned my wings in 2011 on Sunday, August 28th when I set out to save the 9/11 Tiles from Hurricane Irene.

People young and old rushed to join me and save the beloved tiles. As we rolled the last cart of tiles into the safety of Rizza's Salon the rain began to fall...

I've had a vision of creating an indoor gallery for the tiles where they could be surrounded by Art, Poetry, Music, social projects and meaningful discussions for generations to come.

The tiles are the Heart of the Village and that's where they belong.

It's been 15 years now and it's time to take action and create a permanent home for all time. I'm asking anyone who loves the tiles and cares about keeping them together in the Village and keeping the memory alive to stand with me. I don't have a million friends I can ask for $9.11 but together I know we do. Together we can do this, together we can change the world. PEACE IS THE ONLY ANSWER.

Thanks! One more step needed
